We are glad to introduce to you new 8.2 release of Smartswitch.

In this release:

• the base operating system has been upgraded to FreeBSD-11.4
• enhancements and fixes for the SMPP module
• enhancements and fixes for the HTTP module
• playing back an audio from a pcap file straight from the web-interface has been implemented
• a WebRTC phone script has been implemented.

  It can be installed by your customers on their sites to enable origination of calls from their site and accepting the calls on their Virtual PBX.

• added a feature to automatically synchronize the currency rates from several various sources
• added a feature to generate and export the Acceptance certificates
• new API to control the call generation tasks have been added
• performance optimization

Totally release contains:

• 99 enhancements
• 55 fixes

• Many new API have been added, including:
  • adding batch call generation tasks
  • generation of single and batch calls
  • generation of single and batch SMS and DLR
  • generation of single and batch HLR dipping requests
  • generation of single and batch LNP/MNP dipping requests
• Many enhancements for SMPP channel, including:
  • implementation of SMPP capturing into pcap files
  • enhanced support of UDH/SAR segmentation
  • enhancements and fixes in coding translation
  • saving and displaying more SMS parameters in statistics
• Many enhancements for HTTP channel, including:
  • implementation of Digest Auth
  • implementation of new options
• upgrade of the web-framework to version 3.3.12
• new extended SIP options:
  • for authentication
  • for direct media connection
• possibility to install Smartswitch on a base of Asterisk-16.
  This might come in handy for customers who provide services on a bleeding edge of telecommunications world.
  However recommended version is still Asterisk-11.
