We are glad to present you a new 9.2 release of Smartswitch.

In this release, the main emphasis was on polishing the existing functionality, fixing bugs and optimizing speed.

Main changes:

• The operating system version has been updated to FreeBSD 13.3.
  This allows you to install the system on the most modern servers.
• QtWebEngine is now used to generate PDF documents instead of the outdated QtWebKit.
  This reduced the time it takes to generate PDF documents from 60 seconds to less than 5 seconds.
• The Wt web framework on which the web interface is based has been updated to release from the newest branch 4.
  This required significant reworking of the program code to comply with the new APIs of this library.
  Prior to this, for more than 10 years, versions from the older branch 3, which is no longer supported by the manufacturer, had been used.
  
• several improvements for SMS billing

In total the release contains:

• 52 improvements
• 132 fixes

We are glad to introduce to you new 9.1 release of Smartswitch.

In this release:

• the installation image now uses newer GPT scheme to partition the disk.
  It's needed for newer servers which use UEFI to boot.
  Previously we used old MBR scheme, because older FreeBSD releases reported issues when we attempted to use GPT and software RAID.
  Latest FreeBSD release doesn't have such an issue.
• Asterisk version has been updated to 16.19.0
• Database connector has been replaced with the official one.
  Back in 2007, when we started, there've been no official MySQL C++ connector.
  Recently we started getting intermittent issues related to database access.
  Fortunately, nowadays there is the official MySQL C++ connector available.
  Thus, we've moved to it and spent a few months stabilizing it and fixing the most serios issues.
  We plan to continue the stabilization of smaller issues which will be reported by our customers during the next whole year.
  
• the SMPP store and forward mode has been added.
  It's useful for peers which might disconnect and then reconnect back in a few hours.
  Without this mode, we don't deliver Delivery Receipts to peer which is currently disconnected.
• now we support new AmoCRM OAUTH 2.0 authentication out of the box
• storing audio-recordings in stereo mode has been implemented

The total release contains:

• 41 improvements
• 46 fixes

In this release:

• the operating system version has been updated to FreeBSD 12.2
• Asterisk version has been updated to 16
• added support for alternative stack for SIP - PJSIP.
  This stack has a number of new features over the old SIP stack and allows for optimal utilization of the power of the new multi-core servers.
• old H323 stack has been removed.
  For H.323 connections, an alternative version of the stack can be used - OH323.
• for the SMPP channel we added support of:
  • SSL/TLS transport
  • HLR over SMPP
• the routing system was reworked and Routing based on telephone traffic target metrics has been implemented
• for the ICE API we have greatly improved the documentation

The total release contains:

• 58 improvements
• 53 fixes
